CAPTAIN PLUTO (5) settled last in the Northam Cup and couldn't reel in the all-the-way leader. He was still very impressive there however and today looks to set up beautifully third-up and out in distance. Can hold a better position in the run this time and he can bounce back to winning ways. FILTHY HABITS (7) comes here first-up, though he'll be fitter for three trials coming in. He'll be on the speed from a good draw and he'll carry no weight. Just missed first-up last campaign and his trials suggest he can run a bold race on resumption. RED SUN SENSATION (6) ran well fresh before leading and winning the Northam Cup last start over the mile. Out in trip again today, but should be able to settle on the speed and if he can dictate the tempo, he'll be hard to run down again. SENSESSIONAL (4) steps up in trip again today which won't pose an issue and he's in the mix on recent form. BUCKETS RIDGE (1) was solid first-up and is better suited today.
