THE CRIMSON PIRATE (8) sat handy in the Roberts last time out when the favourite, but didn't see out the extra journey. His run in the Piper was massive and that rates highly in this field. This shapes similarly back to the mile today and he can return to winning ways. FANCY RED (1) won over the mile two back, beating Asif when sitting on the speed before jumping favourite in the Bunbury Cup last time out. She was good there despite going under, with the drop back to the mile looking ideal. Nottle's claim comes in handy and she should get every chance. ANTIQUE STAR (5) brings some different form into this and looks poised to strike third-up where she's won 2/3. Out to the mile is a big tick and she looks to get plenty of favours from the draw. She makes plenty of appeal. REDBACK FLYER (6) disappointed at Bunbury but he's much better than that. Can return to form. ASIF (4) can put his best foot forward returning to this trip.
