SUMMER'S LEGACY (8) flashed late in a bunched finish over 1 ?m last time out but she looks well suited getting out to the 1 ?m now. Pike sticking with her is a positive sign and she mightn't be as far back as we saw last time out. Ticks plenty of boxes and can continue to work through the grades. TWILIGHT TALE (9) kept on well over 1 5/16m in this grade last time out when 1.6L off the winner. She maps to sit handy under CJP and strikes a very suitable race on what we've seen on recent efforts. Racing well and can get the job done this time. FAME (3) has been sound in two runs back with the WA style of racing seemingly suiting him. He's likely to be back in the run but he's been in some strong races over this trip in his career. Can feature in the finish. GRAND RESERVE (6) is well suited out to this trip now and can go close with Chris Parnham replacing the apprentice. MAJOR MARIO (5) won well last start and has claims again.

Scratch

A horse is a scratch when injury or other necessity causes it to be withdrawn from the race.

Bobble/Stumble

A slip or a duck from a horse trying to leave the starting gates, often caused by the surface giving way under the feet. This can range from a mild misstep to a stumble down to their knees.

Blinkers

A hood worn on a horse’s head to limit side vision, which can improve concentration. Blinkers are added or removed to relax a horse or give it more focus.
