LUVNWAR (3) has placed in her last two runs, most recently finishing third over 1m in the LR Starstruck Classic here nearly 3 weeks ago. The extra furlong will help her, and with the advantage of a superior gate, she can take this out. NOTEWORTHY (5) was 2 lengths back in sixth over 1m at this track two-and-a-half weeks ago and steps up to a more suitable trip for her peak run. She handles any rack conditions and can bounce straight back into the money here. FUNCHAL (8) is consistent but has struggled to win another race, with just one victory from 12 starts. She was close up in fourth in stakes company over 1 ?m here 15 days ago, and William Pike keeps the faith. Stick with her on an each-way basis. MEMORY PARADE (7) was well beaten last start over 1m, but she has not had much luck in her last 3 starts. With a softer trip, she would not be a shock winner. MACHINE GUN GRACIE (1) finished strongly to finish fourth last time out. The extra furlong is ideal. Each-way.

Condition Book

A list of upcoming races issued by the racing secretary, where the conditions of races to be run over the next few weeks are written.

Main Track Only

A horse entered for main track only (MTO) is one hoping the weather forecast or track conditions will move the race off the turf course and onto the main track. They are scratched the morning of the race if the conditions stay dry.

Claiming Race

A race in which horses are entered for a certain price, or claiming tag, which is also their sales price. An owner can claim any horse entered for the tag before the race begins, and owns them as soon as the gates open.
