MAGICAL SEQUENCE (3) returned to winning ways over the 6f at this track, scoring impressively as the odds-on favourite. She steps back out to 7f today, but Pike remains in the saddle now and she should be within striking distance from the draw. Can continue to work through the grades. LATER ALLIGATOR (8) finished off well from midfield to finish 1.7L off the winner at Pinjarra on the quick turnaround. Likely to get back from the draw, but he rates highly on his last start and can make his presence felt once again. ON PATROL (2) missed as the favourite at Pinjarra a fortnight ago but was in good order prior to that. He'll be back from the wide alley, but his best form rates highly and a return to that level would see him hard to hold out. GINGERQUEST (15) will appreciate the slight rise in trip here and won't be far away. CAPRICIOUS RULER (14) is worth including on her recent form.
