BAKEEL (1) needed the run off a long break fresh before a much better effort last start over 7f. Out to the mile now where he jumped favourite in Listed company 12 months ago. Needs some luck from the draw, but he's a handy type who looks ready to explode. ROCK 'N' THE JAM (11) is another who was off a long break, jumping favourite in his first two runs back. He still has plenty of upside and he was a big winner at the mile before the long spell. Third-up now, out in trip and he's drawn nicely. Down in the weights and he looks the main danger with his upside. MISS SKYHIGH (6) has been improving with every run this time in and now gets plenty in her favour. It's been a while between drinks, but she gets Pike and an inside draw today. Wouldn't surprise to see her end her winning drought. ANTIQUE STAR (10) draws the inside now for Berry and can feature on the back of a strong effort last start. AVOIDANCE (2) is some query at the trip but has to be included on recent form.

Claiming Race

A race in which horses are entered for a certain price, or claiming tag, which is also their sales price. An owner can claim any horse entered for the tag before the race begins, and owns them as soon as the gates open.

Blinkers

A hood worn on a horse’s head to limit side vision, which can improve concentration. Blinkers are added or removed to relax a horse or give it more focus.
