It looks as though of the better 2YOs are stepping out now with AURUM BELLE (8) the pick of those in this event. Out of G2 winning and G1 placed mare Dame Giselle, the daughter of Snitzel has impressed at the trials under Brad Parnham and looks to have plenty of ability. Maps nicely and can make a statement on debut. AFIREOFGIDGEECOALS (3) was far too good for his rivals in a 5f heat most recently with Pike in the saddle. Out of a stakes-winning mare and his siblings have had plenty of success. Pike sticks from his latest trial and he can play a leading role on debut despite the wide alley. FIREARM (2) was sound on debut back in October and hit the line nicely in his latest trial behind Afireofgidgeecoals. Worth keeping on side with his race experience. GREY OL' DAY (4) has been behind Aurum Belle in both trials coming in and has to be included with that form. STERN EMPIRE (7) was solid on resumption 21 days ago and can't be discounted.
