Verdict

Tough race with plenty of chances. ANDRES GIRL (10) sharp two-year-old filly heading in the right direction. Bounced off her narrow debut second, with a comfortable Maiden victory over 6f at Wagga in the heavy going. Well placed with the claim and sure to be thereabouts taking on the older horses. BESSIE LA BELLE (1) trained locally and starting to build a good winning CV. Sprinted well first-up to get the job done in a tight finish over 5 ?f at this track. Goes just as well second-up and the 7lbs claimer can offset the rise in weight. Each way. BRUTAL FORCE (4) is in great form this campaign, chasing his fourth win from his last six starts. Covered ground from the wide gate to get up in a tight finish over 6f at Wagga. The inside gate can offset the rise in weight. Go close. WOLF ISLAND (8) doesn't boast the best winning strike rate but like the way he closed late for a head second over 6f at Canberra Acton. Handles the going and stays in the mix.
