Fred Hoiberg on Rienk Mast: "He's Right on Track to Return in Early January."

Nebraska is off to its best start ever under Fred Hoiberg, but will the 10-2 Huskers have a healthy Rienk Mast when they resume Big Ten play on January 3rd against Indiana?

Hoiberg said on this week's edition of the College Hoops Today Podcast that Mast's status for that game is to be determined and that the 6-10 Mast --- who recently had minor knee surgery --- would not play on Friday against South Carolina State.

"He's doing really well," Hoiberg said of Mast, who's averaging 13.0 points and 9.9 rebounds. "He's right on track to return in early January."

When pressed if Mast would be available against Indiana on January 3rd at Pinnacle Bank Arena, Hoiberg was non-committal.

"It's still too early to tell," Hoiberg said. "He's on track to return in early January --- does that mean Indiana? I don't know yet."

Nebraska is currently ranked 35th in this week's edition of the ROTHSTEIN 45.
