Streaming quarterbacks remains an integral part of fantasy football for those who were willing to wait on the position in favor of loading up their lineups in drafts.

It's not always the preferred option as putting top-shelf guys in your lineup and forgetting it is always nice, but you can get some great value on the waiver wire each week to start at the position, keeping you competitive on a week-to-week basis.

Whether it's 10-team or 12-team leagues, there's going to be options out there to choose from.

When it comes to streaming a quarterback, there are multiple factors in play with none being more important than the defense they're opposing. From there, you can look at the situation they're in, what they've been doing as of late, and more. All of this matters -- especially when you're trying to find points at the most important position in football.

As bye weeks come back into play and five different quarterbacks were injured in action last week, this week's streamers are going a bit deeper than usual. Here's a look at who to consider streaming for Week 9.

Week 9 Quarterback Streamers

Derek Carr, New Orleans Saints

Week 9 Opponent: Chicago Bears

I've recommended him a few times now, but Derek Carr is heating up and is once again the top streamer this week at QB.

The New Orleans Saints' signal-caller has finished with more than 300 passing yards in three straight starts, including 310 in the Saints' 38-27 win over the Indianapolis Colts in Week 8. Big yardage has been the hope for Carr, who has leveled up in his overall play since getting healthier and welcoming back Alvin Kamara to the offense.

Over the last three weeks, Carr has finished with 17.3, 18.4, and 18.3 fantasy points -- all respectable numbers, especially for a streaming option at the position. And perhaps what we saw in Week 8 was Carr's best outing of his season, as he threw for two touchdowns and could've had more if Kamara and Taysom Hill didn't combine for three rushing scores. He's throwing the most deep balls in the NFL (41) and is now connecting with them as we saw with Rashid Shaheed against the Colts.

Carr will get his next chance to feast against the Chicago Bears in Week 9. The Bears just watched Justin Herbert drop 24 fantasy points against them and are allowing the fifth-most fantasy points per game to quarterbacks (18.8). Overall, they're getting torched for 269.9 passing yards and 2.13 touchdowns each week, so this should be a perfect spot for Carr

Carr is a high-end QB2 with QB1 upside in Week 9.

Zach Wilson, New York Jets

Week 9 Opponent: Los Angeles Chargers

If there's ever going to be a week for Zach Wilson to put up good fantasy numbers, it will be in Week 9.

Wilson has shown some flashes in what has mostly been a struggle this season. The New York Jets' quarterback had his best drive late last week when he made two key passes to get the Jets into field goal range against the New York Giants -- hitting Garrett Wilson and Allen Lazard on two huge completions. It'd be nice to imagine that is a a sign of things to come for Wilson moving forward, but at the very least, it's a nice moment and a win to build some confidence.

The main reason that Wilson makes the list this week is that the matchup against the Los Angeles Chargers is far too great to ignore.

Los Angeles is allowing the most fantasy points to quarterbacks on a point-per-game basis through. Quarterbacks are averaging an impressive 21.9 fantasy points week in and week out against them, giving Wilson a chance to have the best statistical game of his up-and-down year.

What Wilson will need to do to make a fantasy start worthwhile is use Garrett Wilson and Breece Hall to his advantage. Two of football's best young playmakers showed in Week 8 what they can do with opportunities as Hall had a 50-yard touchdown reception while Wilson totaled 7 grabs for 100 yards.

If those two are the focus and Wilson can add a little value with his legs, he sets up as a fine streamer this week in deeper leagues.

Will Levis, Tennessee Titans

Week 9 Opponent: Pittsburgh Steelers

All aboard the Will Levis hype train because there's no looking back now.

It was an all-week affair last week for Tennessee Titans head coach Mike Vrabel when it came to teasing who would be starting at quarterback with Ryan Tannehill injured The reports continuously said that both Levis and Malik Willis would play, but it didn't take long to figure out which one of the two should be getting the ball. Levis dazzled in his NFL debut, going 19-of-29 for 238 yards and 4 touchdowns. And it's not as if those touchdowns were flukes, either.

Levis hit DeAndre Hopkins for three scores -- including long ones of 47 yards and 61 yards -- before getting his final touchdown of the day on a beautiful back-foot deep ball to Nick Westbrook-Ikhine.

It was as good a first start as he could have asked for (and against a good Atlanta Falcons D). There's a chance he hasn't won the job for the rest of the season, but with the Titans on a short week, Levis will surely start this coming Thursday and has great streamer potential for Week 9.

Levis will probably lead the Titans into Pittsburgh on Thursday night to face the Steelers. This is often a daunting task, but the Steelers have have allowed 263.4 passing yards per game to opposing quarterbacks -- the ninth-most in the NFL. And they'll be without Minkah Fitzpatrick on Thursday, taking away their most important defensive back -- which makes Levis all the more intriguing in his second career start.

It's best to not expect four touchdowns and a QB6 finish again, but Levis has shown the potential and is worth an add.
