Positional Breakdown
Forwards/Midfielders
Saturday's main slate features four big-six sides and is highlighted by an afternoon showdown between Chelsea and Manchester City. Arsenal will travel to Burnley while Tottenham hosts Wolves.
As is usually the case when City is on a slate, everything starts with their forwards and midfielders. However, with three other big-six sides in action, there are plenty of other options available.
Erling Haaland ($24, -160 anytime goal scoring odds), Julian Alvarez ($23, +150), Kevin De Bruyne ($22, +300), and Phil Fodan ($21, +240) are the top options on City. Chelsea has earned consecutive victories, but their defense remains a weak point. They are allowing two goals per game over their last seven fixtures and have allowed the eighth-most goals in the league this season (40).
The Gunners are the largest favorite on the slate, and their stars are set up for success facing a Burnley side with just one win in their last 10 EPL fixtures. Bukayo Saka ($24, +175), Leandro Trossard ($17, +170), Gabriel Martinelli ($19, +190), and Martin Odegaard ($20, +230) are all excellent options, and their salaries are easy to like compared to City’s stars.
Tottenham is the third-largest favorite on the slate at home against a Wolves side that has conceded at least two goals in each of their last three matches. Spurs have scored at least two goals in nine EPL matches in a row. Son Heung-Min ($21, +130) and Richarlison ($22, +135) both have excellent outlooks, as does James Maddison ($23, +180) and Brennan Johnson ($17, +195).
Newcastle has 10 goals in their last three matches combined and are home favorites against a Bournemouth side with nine goals allowed in their last four EPL fixtures. Anthony Gordon ($19, +160), Harvey Barnes ($14, +170), and Miguel Almiron ($15, +200) are worth consideration.
Fulham are on a decent run of form but have allowed the fourth-most xG, per FBref, this season (42.0). For Aston Villa, Ollie Watkins ($21, +155), Leon Bailey ($15, +290), and John McGinn ($18, +600) can take advantage.
Added time -- Some other midfield options to consider include Pablo Sarabia ($17, +210 to score or assist), Morgan Gibbs-White ($18, +155), James Ward-Prowse ($19, +180), Marcus Tavernier ($18, +180), Andreas Pereira ($18, +180), and Cole Palmer ($19, +230).
Defenders
With Newcastle on the slate, our search for defenders with consistent involvement on set pieces starts with Kieran Trippier ($16, +165 to score or assist). Trippier has at least 19.8 FanDuel points in nine of his last 10 appearances.
Fulham’s Antonnee Robinson ($15, +750) could be busy on both ends of the pitch against Villa. He has double-digit FanDuel points in 13 consecutive starts and is averaging 20.0 FanDuel points per game this season.
Tottenham’s Pedro Porro ($15, +200) is another excellent option. He has seven assists this season and is averaging 23.4 FanDuel points per game, with 30 or more FanDuel points in four of his last five appearances.
Burley’s defenders will be extremely busy facing Arsenal, which should provide Dara O’Shea ($13) and Maxime Esteve ($11) with plenty of defensive opportunities. The same can be said for Wolves’ defenders facing Spurs -- Max Kilman ($14) and Craig Dawson ($12). At +700, Chelsea is the second-largest underdog on the slate, which should mean an elevated number of defensive opportunities for Malo Gusto ($12), Levi Colwill ($11), Ben Chilwell ($11), and Axel Disasi ($10).
Added time -- For GPPs, Arsenal's Gabriel Magalhaes ($14, +800 anytime goal odds) has decent odds to score for a defender and offers a unique way to gain exposure to the slate's largest favorite. He has two goals in his last four games.
Goalies
Arsenal’s David Raya ($14) has the best win odds on the slate, followed by Manchester City's Ederson ($13) and Tottenham’s Guglielmo Vicario ($12).
Outside of those three, Newcastle's Martin Dubravka ($12) and Aston Villa's Emiliano Martinez ($11) have the best win odds.
Of the four of them, Raya holds a significant edge at keeping a clean sheet with Burnley at -110 to score no goals. For Ederson, Chelsea is listed at +125 to score no goals, and for Vicario, Wolves is listed at +180. Following them is Bournemouth, who is listed at +250 to score no goals, and Fulham is slightly behind them at +290.
For GPPs, Dubravka could have the most save opportunities of the group. Newcastle allows the fifth-most shots on target per 90 in the league (5.08), and Bournemouth generates the ninth-most shots on target per 90 (4.30).
Another option to consider for GPPs is Fulham's Bernd Leno ($10). Fulham are slightly home underdogs and facing a Villa side that generates the fifth-most shots on target per 90. Fulham allow the eighth-most shots on target per 90.
Added time -- The clash between West Ham and Nottingham Forest is the game least likely to see over 2.5 goals. West Ham have scored just once in their last three games, which could give Matz Sels ($11) a chance to get back on track. West Ham are +230 to score no goals.
