Scotland started its tourney with a humbling 5-1 loss to Germany, but they bounced back with a much better performance in a 1-1 draw with Switzerland last time out.

The expected goals (xG) data, per FBRef's model, backs that up as Scotland fell just 1.1-0.7 on xG versus the Swiss.

Hungary has dropped both of its first two matches, but their xG numbers aren't that bad. Against Germany, the xG tally was 1.4-1.2 in favor of the Germans.

According to Opta's model, things could hardly be tighter as they give Hungary (37.8%) and Scotland (37.6%) nearly identical win odds.

MasseyRatings is a little more bullish on Hungary, projecting Hungary to win 40% of the time compared to Scotland at 33%.
