The team selected Iowa linebacker Jack Campbell.

As of Thursday morning, Campbell was +230 to be the first linebacker drafted, according to the NFL Draft odds at FanDuel Sportsbook.

Based on numberFire's expected points model, the Lions were the absolute worst defense in football, including 32nd against the rush and 29th against the pass once accounting for opponents faced.

Campbell should do a lot to help turn that around.
