Champions League Predictions Today: UCL Picks, Best Bets for Tuesday, October 13

UCL Betting Picks in Summary
- Arsenal -1.5 (-180)
- Atletico Madrid Moneyline (-115)
The UEFA Champions League returns today with nine Matchday 2 fixtures, giving us a loaded slate that features Arsenal-Lille, Atlético Madrid-Manchester United, Galatasaray-Barcelona, and Inter-Club Brugge.
There are several sizable favorites on the board, but simply backing short moneylines isn't necessarily the best way to attack this slate. Instead, we'll look toward alternate markets and spreads to find more appealing betting opportunities.
Let's dive into the Champions League best bets for Tuesday.

Champions League Picks Today: UCL Predictions
Arsenal -1.5 (-180)
Lille at Arsenal, 3 p.m. ET
Arsenal's outright moneyline is -550, so I'd rather ask the Gunners to win by multiple goals at home.
Their Champions League record at the Emirates is outstanding. Arsenal has won 13 consecutive league-phase matches and has scored at least three goals in five of its last six home matches in this stage of the competition. The Gunners have also recorded five clean sheets across their last seven Champions League games.
Lille, meanwhile, has lost eight consecutive away matches against English opposition. Arsenal also enters Tuesday having won three of its last four matches in all competitions, while Lille opened its Champions League campaign with a 3-2 defeat to Real Betis.
Arsenal should control possession and generate the majority of the chances. I'll back the Gunners to win by at least two.
Atletico Madrid Moneyline (-115)
Manchester United vs. Atletico Madrid, 3 p.m. ET
Atlético Madrid is my favorite moneyline bet on Tuesday.
The Spanish side enters this match having won four straight La Liga games, most recently beating Alavés 2-1. Manchester United, on the other hand, has failed to win each of its last three matches and has endured a difficult start domestically.
United is also dealing with significant personnel issues. Benjamin Šeško and Matthijs de Ligt are among the reported absences, while Luke Shaw and Kobbie Mainoo did not make the trip to Madrid.
There is one interesting historical concern: Atlético has never won a Champions League group-stage or league-phase game against an English opponent, going 0-4-7. However, they've also never lost to Manchester United across four UEFA meetings.
At home and in much better form, Atlético is the side I want.

What is a moneyline bet in soccer?
A moneyline bet is a wager on which team will win the match. Because soccer matches can end in a draw, most moneyline markets include three options: the home team, the away team, or a draw.
What does “draw no bet” mean?
Draw no bet removes the draw as a losing outcome. If the match ends tied, your wager is refunded. If your team wins, the bet wins.
What is a soccer total?
A total is a bet on how many combined goals will be scored in a match. For example, an Over 2.5 Goals bet wins if at least three goals are scored.
What does “both teams to score” mean?
Both Teams to Score, often abbreviated BTTS, is a wager on whether each team will score at least one goal during the match.
