Today’s Champions League Betting Picks in Summary
- Roma vs. Manchester United Draw (+290)
- Bayern vs. Atletico Under 3.5 Goals (-124)
The Champions League returns Tuesday with another slate of league-phase matchups, and two games stand out from a betting perspective. Manchester United's struggles make a draw against Roma appealing at a big number, while Atlético Madrid and Bayern Munich offer an intriguing under opportunity in Madrid.

Champions League Picks Today: UCL Predictions
Roma vs. Manchester United Draw (+290)
The draw is my favorite play in Manchester United vs. Roma.
United are winless in their last nine matches across all competitions and have scored only three goals across their last five while Roma have lost just once in 13 matches this season. Even with this match being in Manchester, the record form of these sides makes it difficult to back United, especially when the market has them as a slight favorite.
Roma have scored 18 goals across their last five matches, so this isn't necessarily a bet on a low-scoring game. Instead, I'm expecting the visitors to take advantage of United's recent struggles while also recognizing that Roma have enough defensive vulnerabilities to make a narrow United win possible.
With the draw available at +290, I like the odds on these teams splitting the points at Old Trafford.
Bayern vs. Atletico Madrid Under 3.5 Goals (-124)
I'm expecting a more controlled game than most Bayern matches when Bayern Munich visit Atlético Madrid.
Atlético have been particularly difficult to break down at home while Bayern enter the match dealing with several attacking injuries, including Jamal Musiala, Luis Díaz, Serge Gnabry and Ismael Saibari. Michael Olise is also questionable, which could further limit Bayern's attacking options.
Bayern's first three Champions League matches have produced 5-0, 3-3 and 2-2 results, but this is a significantly tougher road matchup against an Atlético side that has conceded just one goal across its previous five matches.
Atlético also have a strong home record against Bayern historically, and I expect Diego Simeone's side to prioritize limiting Bayern's chances. Under 3.5 goals gives us some wiggle room for the top-shelf attackers in this match to do something special and the under to still hit.
What is a moneyline bet in soccer?
A moneyline bet is a wager on which team will win the match. Because soccer matches can end in a draw, most moneyline markets include three options: the home team, the away team, or a draw.
What does “draw no bet” mean?
Draw no bet removes the draw as a losing outcome. If the match ends tied, your wager is refunded. If your team wins, the bet wins.
What is a soccer total?
A total is a bet on how many combined goals will be scored in a match. For example, an Over 2.5 Goals bet wins if at least three goals are scored.
What does “both teams to score” mean?
Both Teams to Score, often abbreviated BTTS, is a wager on whether each team will score at least one goal during the match.
