Celtics vs. Hawks Game 3 Analysis

Through two games, this series has been one-way traffic with Boston notching back-to-back 13-point victories. The Celtics jumped out to large leads in both games, shooting a combined 28-of-66 (42.4%) from behind the arc. Adding in their regular season meetings, Boston is now 5-0 against Atlanta this season, with an average margin of victory of 13.2 points.

With the series shifting to Atlanta, the Hawks, who have been better at home (58.5 win%) than on the road (41.5 win%) this season, need to take advantage of the friendly confines of State Farm Arena.

The issue is that the Celtics (61.0 win%) have the second-best away record in the NBA this season. A large reason for that is Boston's reliance on three-pointers hasn't been impacted by road games this season. They average nearly the same number of threes made on the road (15.8 per game on 37.4% shooting) as they do at TD Garden (16.2 per game on 37.9% shooting).

To gain a foothold in this series, the Hawks will need to slow down Boston's offense and hope their stars show up at home.
