Baltimore Ravens Draft Boston College WR Zay Flowers 22nd Overall

Based on the NFL Draft betting odds at FanDuel Sportsbook, Boston College receiver Zay Flowers (+350) was the second-most likely receiver to go first at the position behind Ohio State's Jaxon Smith-Njigba (-350).

Smith-Njigba did go first overall, yet Flowers was the third receiver drafted when the Baltimore Ravens selected him 22nd overall in the 2023 NFL Draft.

Zay Flowers NFL Draft Profile

A small receiver at 5'9" and 182 pounds, Flowers' pure measurables don't look overpowering.

For a lot of reasons, Flowers has a wide range of outcomes.

Zay Flowers Top Comparables

According to my NFL prospect database -- which accounts for athleticism, production, size, draft capital, age, and more historically important variables -- here are Flowers' top five comparable players.

  1. KJ Hamler - 92.4%
  2. Phillip Dorsett - 91.5%
  3. Rondale Moore - 91.3%
  4. Steve Smith - 91.1%
  5. Brandin Cooks - 90.7%

Zay Flowers in Baltimore

The Ravens just re-signed franchise quarterback Lamar Jackson, and getting him some wide receiver help made a lot of sense after no wideout for the team posted more than 48 receptions in 2022.

Flowers is unlikely to post dominant first-year stats in an offense such as this one, however.

Baltimore Ravens 2023 Outlook

Via FanDuel Sportsbook's NFL odds, Baltimore is a top-eight Super Bowl contender (+1800).

Their over/under in the win department is 9.5 with +100 odds on the over.
