Baltimore Orioles Odds to Win the World Series

The Baltimore Orioles were ahead of schedule last year, winning over 100 games and locking themselves in as the top seed in the American League. Now they're looking to grow even more in this new season and make the World Series a reality instead of a dream.

Per the World Series odds at FanDuel Sportsbook, what are the Baltimore Orioles odds to win the World Series this season?

The Baltimore Orioles are listed at +1500 to win the World Series, which ranks as the seventh-best odds.

Let's take a look at what we can expect from the Orioles in 2024.

Orioles Analysis

There is so much to like about the Baltimore Orioles this year, potentially making them one of the best bets outside of the expected favorites to consider for the World Series this year.

Let's start with the big move. The Orioles went and got themselves an ace. The 2022 NL Cy Young award winner Corbin Burnes will head up a Baltimore staff that was in desperate need of a guy like him. It was apparent in the playoffs that they needed an ace to lean on -- so they got him.

Burnes didn't have the best season of his career in 2023, finishing with a 3.39 ERA and 200 strikeouts, but those are numbers any team would take. He will join a rotation that includes former first round pick Grayson Rodriguez, who is looking to take a step forward.

The big difference from last year for the Orioles, which may hurt them more than any other team, is that they will be without Felix Bautista. The 2023 AL Reliever of the Year underwent Tommy John surgery in the offseason, meaning he will be out for the 2024 season. As a result, the Orioles got long-time closer Craig Kimbrel to replace him. With a bullpen that won't be as "shutdown" as it was last year, they will need everyone to step up.

And now, that brings us to the offense. There's a lot to like about a lineup led by Adley Rutschman and reigning Rookie of the Year Gunnar Henderson. Not only should they both improve, but MLB.com's No. 1 prospect Jackson Holliday is expected to make a big splash for the O's this year -- potentially as soon as Opening Day. If he can do what Henderson did for this team last season, then this is just another upgrade to a young, talented team.

Baltimore is still so young that there's no answer as to what they truly are just yet, but considering the moves they've made and the potential their stars carry, there's a real chance they can be contenders by season's end. They already are according to the odds -- but we will have to wait and see. I like the Orioles' chances to make a splash.
