5 College Basketball Games to Watch This Weekend: Marquette Visits UConn

Who’s ready for a great weekend?

Check below for our list of five games to watch this weekend in college basketball.

In no particular order:

College Basketball Games to Watch

New Mexico at San Diego State (Friday)

The next two games will dictate whether or not the Aztecs can win the Mountain West regular season title.

After Friday's tilt with the Lobos, San Diego State will travel to Utah State, who they currently trail by one game in the standings. Jaedon LeDee has quietly been on a tear and is averaging 23.0 points and 6.5 rebounds in his last two outings.

Per the college basketball odds at FanDuel Sportsbook, San Diego State is +195 to win the MWC regular-season title while Utah State is +130.

Marquette at UConn (Saturday)

This feels more like a prize fight than a Big East game.

The Golden Eagles won both the Big East regular season and tournament titles last year, but the Huskies won the national title in dominant fashion. At +650, UConn is tied with Purdue as the favorite to win it all this campaign, according to FanDuel Sportsbook's college basketball national championship odds.

This could be the first of three meetings between these two programs between now and Selection Sunday.

Kansas at Oklahoma (Saturday)

Will Kevin McCullar (knee) be available on Saturday in Norman? That's the million-dollar question for the Jayhawks.

Kansas is just 1-5 on the road in Big 12 play this season, and its woes could continue if McCullar is unavailable. This is the most vulnerable team that Bill Self has had in a number of years.

Utah State at Colorado State (Saturday)

Danny Sprinkle didn't inherit a single point when he arrived in Logan, but he's got the Aggies in sole possession of first place in the Mountain West. Utah State has not won an outright league title since arriving in the conference, but they're the current favorite to do so this season (+130).

Colorado State scored only 11 points in the second half of Tuesday night's loss at San Diego State.

Kentucky at Auburn (Saturday)

The Tigers are 13-0 at home this season, with an average margin of victory of 22 points. The Wildcats have only two Quad 1 victories and are just 6-6 against Quad 1 and 2 opponents.

Sounds like a mismatch, right?

Don't ever count out John Calipari and Kentucky, but the Wildcats' freshmen will have to play like juniors and seniors to survive in "The Jungle."
