NHL Prop Bets

Matt Duchene To Score a Goal (+200)

With a 4.00 implied goal total, the Dallas Stars lead the four-game slate to close out the week.

A total of 14 goals over their last three games make the Stars one of the hottest teams in the league and now have a juicy matchup against the Anaheim Ducks.

This season, the Ducks have allowed 2.72 Goals per 60 minutes in five-on-five situations, which is the eighth-worst in the league. The Ducks also come in with the sixth-worst (75.8%) penalty kill this season, while the Stars have the ninth-best (23.1%) power-play.

This all bodes well for Matt Duchene, who sees time on the second forward line and the first power-play unit for the Stars. Duchene comes in with no goals over his last four games but a solid 11 shots on goal.

With the Ducks allowing the second-most (70.78) Total Shot Attempts per 60 minutes in five-on-five situations over the last two weeks, the Stars should be able to push the pace on offense and pile up the scoring chances.

Sean Monahan Over 2.5 Shots on Goal (+142)

The Winnipeg Jets are in the middle of a tight playoff race and need contributions from everyone.

At this point in the season, I like to target playoff-bound teams who are coming off a loss. That is what we have with the Jets, who are on the road to take on the Seattle Kraken, which gives the Jets a 2.85 implied goal total.

We want a strong level of consistency, and it brings me to Sean Monahan, who has posted at least two shots on goal in 10 straight games, and at least three in five of these 10 games.

Over the last two weeks, the Kraken has allowed the 12th most (62.36) Total Shot Attempts per 60 minutes in five-on-five situations, making this a solid matchup for Monahan to continue piling up the shots on goal.

Patrick Kane To Record 1+ Assists (-122)

A 3.39 implied goal total for the Detroit Red Wings should make them a clear target for player props tonight against the Arizona Coyotes.

The Red Wings are on a three-game losing streak but are clearly the better team in this matchup and need to right the ship in their playoff push.

Patrick Kane has been on a heater for the Red Wings, with 12 points in his last 10 games, 7 of which have been assists. He skates on the first forward line and the first power-play unit, which puts him in a spot to do much of the heavy lifting on offense since Dylan Larkin is out for a few weeks.

The Coyotes' defense has allowed the 13th-most (2.58) Goals per 60 minutes in five-on-five situations this season and also owns the seventh-worst (76.1%) penalty kill this season. A simple assist is all that's needed for Kane, who is coming off two games without a point.
