3 NFL Wild Card Prop Bets for Los Angeles Rams at Detroit Lions

It's Super Wild Card Weekend, which means NFL fans will be treated to three days of wild playoff action -- featuring two games on Saturday, three on Sunday, and a Monday night special to close it out. Some of the NFL's finest will be out in force as they vie for a Super Bowl title.

Utilizing numberFire's projections as a guide, here are some NFL player props bets that look appealing.

Please note that betting lines and numberFire's game projections may change throughout the day after this article is published. All betting numbers come from the NFL odds at FanDuel Sportsbook.

Los Angeles Rams-Detroit Lions Overview

As Hall-of-Fame wideout Terrell Owens once proclaimed, "get your popcorn ready!"

With reunions serving as a prevalent theme of Super Wild Card Weekend, there are several adversarial clashes to take in. Still, the Los Angeles Rams (10-7) visiting the Detroit Lions (12-5) just might be the most anticipated of the opening-round slate.

Of course, there's the fact that Rams quarterback Matthew Stafford is returning to Detroit -- the franchise that drafted him first overall in 2009 -- as a member of a different organization for the first time. Across the field, Lions current signal-caller Jared Goff will be facing the team that drafted him No. 1 overall for just the second time in his career; yes, the plot thickens like gravy in the refrigerator.

Oh, and let's not forget this upcoming meeting in Motor City falls under the umbrella of the playoffs (as if we needed any more intensity here). Sure, Stafford was able to win the ultimate prize with the Rams after being traded to Los Angeles, but Goff now has Detroit in a position that Staffy never managed in the 313. Through a dozen years, Stafford was unable to win the NFC North outright.

Goff has a fair opportunity at some good, old-fashioned American revenge this Sunday night. Can he and the Lions seize the moment in a game where Ford Field (indoors) will provide optimal playing conditions?

Los Angeles Rams at Detroit Lions: Prop Bets

Jared Goff Over 258.5 Passing Yards (-114)

Staying with Goff, I genuinely think he -- along with all of Detroit Rock City -- will come into this postseason bid with extra pep in his step: something head coach Dan Campbell can truly be proud of. As noted, this one is personal for JG16.

Already, being that this game is protected from any inclement weather, I like a passing prop. Considering Goff's yardage total is set nearly 15 yards lower than Stafford's (272.5), let's lean toward the UC Berkeley alum to go over his mark of 258.5.

Eight years into his NFL career, Goff had one of his best seasons to date. His completion clip of 67.3% at the moment is his sharpest through any single-season. From there, Goff's 4,575 passing yards in 2023 landed him in the league's top-three. Simply, it makes sense that Detroit finished the regular season as a top-five offense in both scoring and yardage.

Through 17 contests this year, Goff averaged 269.1 passing yards per game (YPG). In bids at Ford Field, his clip is a bit higher for the current campaign, showing 280.0 YPG.

Before Goff's prop climbs any taller, I am locking him in at over 258.5.

Amon-Ra St. Brown Any Time TD Scorer (+100)

A personal favorite of mine, Amon-Ra St. Brown is one of those guys you simply refer to as a "football player" without needing to say more. Utilizing a blend of speed, finesse and physicality, St. Brown is fierce with or without the pigskin in his hands.

As a notable Pro Bowl snub, St. Brown was recently named to the NFL All-Pro First Team (along with fellow star receivers CeeDee Lamb and Tyreek Hill). St. Brown was more than deserving, as the USC alum was the NFL's third-leading receiver in 2023, outputting 1,515 yards through the air.

When it came to scoring, ARSB did well to set a career-high in that department as well. In 16 games played this season, St. Brown found the end zone on 10 occasions. Considering he never scored more than once in a contest this year, that gives him a 62.5% conversion rate in this 2023 market.

If you've not heard by now, the Kay Adams & Gronk Same Game Parlay is centered around Sunday night's playoff contest in Motor City. As you might imagine, one of their four parlay legs is also on St. Brown as an any time TD scorer. Kyren Williams Over 15.5 Receiving Yards (-114)

Second-year tailback Kyren Williams has been a breath of fresh air for the Rams. Quietly, Williams was the third-leading rusher in the NFL this past season, churning out 1,144 yards on the ground to go with a dozen scores. As a receiver, the young running back also displayed quality skills, going from nine catches as a rookie to 32 in 2023.

Transparently, Williams has not gone over this receiving prop of 15.5 yards since early December. However, in a playoff game, I can absolutely see head coach Sean McVay getting the backs more involved in the passing game.

Through the current campaign, Williams has notched 17.2 YPG in the receiving department. More precisely, he has produced an average of 6.4 yards per reception. With that math, we are only looking for Williams to catch in the neighborhood of three footballs; ideally, he does what he can do with those touches.

In a city and time where everyone seems to be preoccupied with LeBron James or Shohei Ohtani, the Rams have built considerable steam down the stretch. Having won seven of their last eight contests, LAR enters the postseason as hot as anyone. Naturally, Williams' abilities have been a perpetuator of that.

With football's postseason finally here, the NFL Playoffs No Sweat Same Game Parlay is eligible for any Super Wild Card game played on Sunday, January 14th. This exclusive promotion can be applied to any SGP/SGP+ wager of three or more legs that also totals +400 odds or longer -- if your qualified bet loses, get a refund!
