Player props can be useful in a variety of ways -- from taking advantage of them straight up to measuring a player's potential to produce in daily fantasy baseball on FanDuel. Here, we're going to focus on the former.

Utilizing our projections -- which are powered by numberFire -- as a guide, here are some MLB player props bets that look appealing via the MLB odds at FanDuel Sportsbook.

MLB Prop Bets

Christopher Morel to Record an RBI (+100)

With such a good matchup today for the Chicago Cubs, let's kick off our MLB prop bets with Christopher Morel to Record an RBI (+100).

Morel has been one of the consistent bats in the lineup for the Cubs this season, making his No. 4 spot in the lineup incredibly valuable.

The Cubs' third baseman has been an RBI machine -- recording 23 RBIs in his first 35 games. Both his hard-hit rate (37.8%) and fly-ball rate (36.7%) are signs of him doing the right things at the plate, even if I'd like to see the fly-ball rate a tick higher to what he was doing a season ago. The eight home runs and .334 wOBA lend itself to a pretty strong season, so it's no wonder Chicago has continuously leaned on him.

As noted, the matchup today is an ideal one to succeed at the plate for Morel and company. Chicago has a strong 4.79 implied total -- per numberFire's heat map -- against the San Diego Padres and their starter Randy Vasquez.

Vasquez hasn't had the best season through two starts. In those outings, he's pitched only 7 2/3 innings, allowing 11 hits, 8 runs, and 2 home runs. It hasn't been better in Triple-A, either. Down there, he's made four starts and is currently sporting a brutal 8.40 ERA.

Chicago shouldn't have a problem making noise tonight, and that starts with Morel.

Michael Conforto to Record an RBI (+100)

The San Francisco Giants are at Coors Field to take on the Colorado Rockies, making them a good place to look for player props.

Colorado will be starting Dakota Hudson in this one. Hudson has pitched as expected in his first year with the Rox, entering tonight with a 5.25 SIERA, 5.93 ERA, 5.02 FIP, and 1.68 WHIP. Add in the Coors Field impact, it's easy to love the Giants today.

San Francisco -- unsurprisingly -- has the highest implied total of the evening at a huge 5.78 clip.

This brings us to Michael Conforto, who is a good pick to Record an RBI (+100) in this one.

Conforto has had a resurgent campaign, hitting to the tune of a .324 wOBA, .441 SLG, and .189 ISO. The 31-year-old has knocked in 17 runs, hitting from either the four or five spot in the Giants' lineup. With his 38.1% hard-hit rate and 42.3% fly-ball rate, Conforto sets up well to thrive in Coors.

I also like Conforto at his +450 odds to hit a home run, too.

Shohei Ohtani to Record 2+ Total Bases (-115)

Shohei Ohtani is the best hitter in the world right now. Let's roll with him to Record 2+ Total Bases (-115) tonight.

The Los Angeles Dodgers have a quality 5.01 implied total against Edward Cabrera and the Miami Marlins.

Cabrera has given up a lot of runs -- fitting of the Marlins this season. He has a rough 6.05 ERA, allowing 14 runs and 19 hits in 19 1/3 innings. While Cabrera's underlying metrics look much better, he hasn't gotten the results that you'd hope for, and that's unlikely to change tonight against LA's loaded lineup.

Ohtani has been on another planet in terms of his offensive output. He has swung himself into the league lead in seemingly every category -- including wOBA (.484), batting average (.370), ISO (.336), home runs (11), .705 SLG, and OPS (1.139).

Overall, Ohtani has 26 extra-base hits on the season as well as 16 multi-hit games. Everything lines up for Ohtani to thrive once again at the plate.
