Player props can be useful in a variety of ways -- from taking advantage of them straight up to measuring a player's potential to produce in daily fantasy baseball on FanDuel. Here, we're going to focus on the former.

Utilizing numberFire's projections as a guide, here are some MLB player props bets that look appealing.

Please note that betting lines and numberFire's game projections may change throughout the day after this article is published. Also, the weather may be an issue in some locations.

Jasson Dominguez To Hit a Home Run (+390)

The New York Yankees have a solid 4.95 implied run total and great hitting weather tonight.

Jasson Dominguez was recently called up by the Yankees and already has two home runs to his name in just four games. He's got the hype, he's got the power, and tonight he's got the matchup.

He will be up against Matt Manning, who has a .437 SLG, 5.59 xFIP, 1.69 HR/9, 44.2% fly-ball rate, and 41.7% hard-contact rate allowed versus left-handed hitters this season.

It's hot at Yankee Stadium tonight, providing a great backdrop for some offense.

Dominguez has only four games under his belt, so there are no real stats to dive into. You can look to stick with Dominguez To Record an RBI (+135), if you don't want to roll with the homer.

Bobby Witt Jr. To Record 2+ Hits (+170)

The Kansas City Royals are putting up plenty of runs lately and should be in a spot to continue that tonight.

A 9.5 over/under is a good indication we should see some scoring tonight, and we want to jump on some player props that reflect that.

The Chicago White Sox will have Touki Toussaint on the mound. To this point in the season, Toussaint has allowed a .325 wOBA, .376 SLG, .313 BABIP, 1.23 HR/9, 14.6% walk rate, and 21.1% HR/FB ratio versus right-handed hitters.

It's no surprise the Royals have a 4.84 implied run total tonight, so let's look to their best player, Bobby Witt Jr..

He's rocking a 106 wRC+, .333 wOBA, .219 ISO, .288 BABIP, 43.0% fly-ball rate, and 37.0% hard-contact rate versus right-handed pitchers. Witt has been on fire lately and should look to continue that tonight in a favorable matchup.

Patrick Sandoval Under 5.5 Strikeouts (-112)

For a strikeout prop, under 5.5 punchouts for Patrick Sandoval is the way to look tonight.

Sandoval comes in with a 19.9% strikeout rate this season, which is lower than the league average of 22.7%. Sandoval simply isn't a big threat on the mound to punch out a ton of hitters.

We've also seen Sandoval fail to reach the sixth inning in seven of his last 10 starts, which limits his chances to rack up strikeouts.

That is what we should be seeing tonight because he is up against the Baltimore Orioles, who come in with a 21.3% strikeout rate versus left-handed pitchers, which is the eighth-lowest in the league.

Baltimore is disciplined at the plate and have power with the 10th-best (.173) ISO in this split. This is a tough matchup and should lead to under 5.5 strikeouts for Sandoval.
