Player props can be useful in a variety of ways -- from taking advantage of them straight up to measuring a player's potential to produce in daily fantasy baseball on FanDuel. Here, we're going to focus on the former.

Utilizing numberFire's projections as a guide, here are some MLB player props bets that look appealing.

Please note that betting lines and numberFire's game projections may change throughout the day after this article is published. Also, the weather may be an issue in some locations.

Ryan Mountcastle To Hit a Home Run (+330)

A big 5.15 implied run total for the Baltimore Orioles is a great spot to look for a home run tonight.

The visiting Colorado Rockies will have Kyle Freeland on the bump tonight, a pitcher we can absolutely look to target for some homers.

This season, Freeland allows a .379 wOBA, .539 SLG, 5.43 xFIP, 1.86 HR/9, 41.7% fly-ball rate, and 41.8% hard-contact rate versus right-handed hitters. These are some of the worst numbers on the slate and with the power the Orioles have in their lineup, we should see some scoring.

We'll turn to Ryan Mountcastle, who has plenty of power with a 190 wRC+, .445 wOBA, .347 ISO, 44.0% fly-ball rate, 43.0% hard-contact rate, and 25.0% HR/FB ratio versus lefties. This is a perfect match for the 40-40 rule, putting Mountcastle in an elite spot.

Of course, I'll look to add Mountcastle To Record an RBI (+100), too.

Ian Happ To Record 2+ Total Bases (+110)

The Chicago Cubs are always capable of putting runs on the board quickly so we want to target them for some player props.

A 4.57 implied run total is a good indication the Cubs are going to not only see plenty of runners on base tonight but also cross the plate. The Cubs are one of the highest-scoring offenses in the league, so this is nothing new for them.

They are going up against Mitch Keller, who got off to a hot start this season, but fell back down to earth. He comes in allowing a .346 wOBA, .472 SLG, 1.46 HR/9, .343 BABIP, and 36.1% fly-ball rate to lefties this season.

We want a consistent hitter from the Cubs, which leads us to Ian Happ, who is rocking a 119 wRC+, .347 wOBA, .305 BABIP, .170 ISO, and 37.6% fly-ball rate versus righty pitchers.

With warmer weather and the wind blowing out tonight, it's a great environment for offense.

Bryce Harper To Record an RBI (+115)

Bryce Harper is on fire right now and we want to grab a simple RBI prop tonight.

The Philadelphia Phillies are another team with a high implied run total (5.07) and plenty of choices when it comes to the prop market.

Harper comes in with a 139 wRC+, .381 wOBA, .378 BABIP, .172 ISO, 13.5% walk rate, and 41.1% hard-contact rate versus right-handed pitchers. He had a late start to the season but is still putting up elite numbers in this split.

Miles Mikolas will be on the mound for the St. Louis Cardinals, who is simply a pitcher we don't need to be afraid of. He comes in with a low 17.5% strikeout rate versus left-handed hitters and is known for pitching to contact. That contact comes in the form of a 39.7% fly-ball rate, .440 SLG, and .313 BABIP against lefties.

He won't be punching out hitters at the plate and Harper is in a prime spot to pick up an RBI.
