Finding low-salary production is one way to get a leg up on the competition in MLB DFS.

Here are some low-salary players to target on FanDuel for tonight's main slate.

Advanced statistics courtesy of FanGraphs.

Kenta Maeda, SP, Minnesota Twins ($8,400)

Kenta Maeda and his 5.10 ERA do not look appealing on the surface, but looking at some advanced numbers makes him an intriguing option to roster tonight.

Maeda's expected ERA (xERA) is a full point lower than his actual ERA, sitting at 3.89. He also looks solid by expected fielding independent pitching (xFIP) which lands at 3.76. His 28.6% strikeout rate is also one of the better ones on this slate for a starting pitcher.

The matchup is also a solid one for Maeda, as he will face the Seattle Mariners. We shouldn't be too afraid of Seattle's lineup, as they have struggled against right-handed pitching this season. They have struck out 24.9% of the time, the second-most in baseball, and also are 21st in wOBA, as it's just .310.

Maeda is projected for 29.3 points by numberFire's model, making him a nice value at $8,400.

Josh Bell, 1B, Cleveland Guardians ($2,800)

It's always nice finding a switch-hitter that has a salary that's perhaps lower than it would be if the player batted from one side of the plate every time.

That's the case with Josh Bell tonight, who has been much better from the right side of the plate this season. He has a .220 ISO, .333 wOBA and +132 wRC+ from that side of the plate, all very solid numbers.

He's not just facing any lefty tonight, but one he can really do damage against. Ryan Yarbrough will be on the mound for the Kansas City Royals tonight. He's sporting a 4.72 xFIP, and allows fly balls at a 42.5% rate. That can spell trouble against a hitter like Bell, who will be able to take him deep.

The Cleveland Guardians have an implied team total that is the fourth-highest on the slate at 4.80, and if Bell bats fifth he's a nice piece to add if stacking them.

Geraldo Perdomo, 2B/SS, Arizona Diamondbacks ($2,800)

Another switch hitter to target today is Geraldo Perdomo, who's having a nice season for himself and likely will bat leadoff for the Arizona Diamondbacks on Monday.

Perdomo has a .353 wOBA and a 120 wRC+ this season. When facing right-handed pitching, those numbers go up to .358 and 124, respectively. Perdomo is also a threat to steal when he gets on base, with 11 stolen bases this season.

His matchup tonight can't get much better. He'll face 41-year-old Adam Wainwright, who currently has an xERA of 8.23. He's essentially throwing batting practice out there, allowing opponents to barrel the ball 11.7% of the time.

The Diamondbacks are third in team wOBA against righties (.343) and should tee off against Wainwright tonight. If that does happen Perdomo should be in a position to score fantasy points in a bunch of different ways as the leadoff hitter.
