Finding low-salary production is one way to get a leg up on the competition in MLB DFS.

Here are some low-salary players to target on FanDuel for tonight's main slate.

Advanced statistics courtesy of FanGraphs.

Alex Cobb, P, San Francisco Giants ($8,900)

The San Francisco Giants will welcome the Oakland Athletics to Oracle Park, so it's a good time to fire up Alex Cobb.

The 2023 All-Star has had himself a quality season, continuing his good fortune in the Bay with the Giants. Through 18 starts this season, Cobb is sporting a 3.77 SIERA and a 3.40 FIP, which should set him up for success tonight.

Cobb is a real value because the A's boast the worst offense in all of baseball. Oakland's lineup has the worst wOBA in the league at a floundering .291, tied with the Kansas City Royals. In terms of strikeouts, the Athletics' 24.7% rate is MLB's fifth highest mark.

With this eye-popping matchup, Cobb is the best value pitcher if you're trying to save yourself some money to fill out the rest of your lineup.

Ha-Seong Kim, 2B/3B/SS, San Diego Padres ($2,900)

Fire up Ha-Seong Kim in your lineups.

Kim's MLB career has been full of improvement season after season, with 2023 being his best by far. The infield utilityman has been swinging a hot bat, as he has a .354 wOBA and a career-high 14 home runs. He's driving the ball at his highest rate in 2023, too, as he has a 30.2% hard-hit rate.

His bat is even hotter than it has been all year. Kim is coming off a two home run game and has three overall in his last three games.

Rich Hill is what he is at this point. The Pittsburgh Pirates starter is 43 years old now and is just throwing with whatever he's got left in the tank. Hill currently has a 4.82 SIERA and the lowest strikeout rate of his career since 2010 (19.3%).

Kim is hitting .301 off of lefties and 6 of his home runs have come against southpaws. This should be a good day for the infielder to take advantage of Hill.

The bat is going good, and the matchup is even better -- get Kim in your lineups.

Geraldo Perdomo, SS/2B, Arizona Diamondbacks ($2,800)

A favorite of the DFS value plays, Geraldo Perdomo deserves your consideration once more.

The Arizona Diamondbacks shortstop has been one of the more underrated players in 2023 despite being named an All-Star.

Perdomo has a .355 wOBA and 122 wRC+ through 83 games. Along with Perdomo, DFS players should consider stacking the D-Backs' offense against St. Louis Cardinals starter Steven Matz.

Matz has tossed to the tune of a 4.16 SIERA while only putting together a 22.2% strikeout rate against opposing hitters. These aren't numbers to fade away from but rather roll against.

Perdomo hasn't had many at-bats against lefties this season (37 total plate appearances) but is hitting .303 against them, so he should be able to take advantage as a value on the night.
