Best Home Run Props

Corey Seager to Hit a Home Run (+360)

This afternoon (2:15 p.m. ET start), the Texas Rangers get a dope road matchup against Michael McGreevy, a rookie righty who is making his MLB debut.

McGreevy hasn't been lighting the world on fire in Triple-A. Across 109 1/3 Triple-A innings this season, McGreevy has a meh 20.5% strikeout rate and 4.26 xFIP. It was a similar story last year as he recorded an 18.0% K rate and 4.37 xFIP over 134 1/3 Triple-A frames.

The Rangers are expected to have success today as they are -113 to go over 4.5 runs. Corey Seager can be a big part of that success.

Seager is mauling right-handed pitching this year to the tune of a .378 wOBA, 42.0% hard-hit rate and 45.5% fly-ball rate. Of his 19 taters, 15 have come versus righties and 12 have come away from home.

I also like Nathaniel Lowe's home run prop at +800.

Yordan Alvarez to Hit a Home Run (+300)

Yordan Alvarez has a nice home date versus right-hander Jake Woodford.

Woodford has logged 104 1/3 MLB innings since the start of 2022, and he's posted a 4.93 SIERA and 13.2% strikeout rate. Across 56 innings since the start of 2023, he's been tagged for 2.09 homers per nine innings. Over his career, Woodford has surrendered a .361 wOBA and 1.54 dingers per nine to lefties.

Enter Yordan, one of the game's elite hitters.

With the platoon advantage this season, Alvarez has registered a .370 wOBA and 50.7% fly-ball rate. He's been hitting the ball extremely well this month with a 45.0% hard-hit rate and 50.0% fly-ball rate in July.

The Houston Astros are -120 to go over 4.5 runs, and Alvarez is in a good spot to go yard.

Elly De La Cruz to Hit a Home Run (+420)

The Cincinnati Reds should feast on Kyle Hendricks today.

Hendricks has some terrible numbers, including a 4.61 SIERA and 15.9% K rate while giving up 1.79 homers per nine. Lefties are hammering him for a .385 wOBA and a laughable 2.54 homers per nine. Putting those numbers in Great American Ball Park should lead to fireworks, and Cincy is listed at -130 to go over 4.5 runs.

Elly De La Cruz is much better against righties (.380 wOBA) than southpaws (.325), and he's also a lot more productive at home (.377 wOBA) than on the road (.345). This is about a perfect matchup for him.

Elly has a .400 wOBA in July and has gone deep in two of his last three home games. These +420 odds are pretty enticing.
