3 Home Run Prop Best Bets for Thursday 7/25/24

Player props can be useful in a variety of ways -- from taking advantage of them straight up to measuring a player's potential to produce in daily fantasy baseball on FanDuel.

Here, we're going to focus on the former, specifically home run props.

Utilizing our home run projections -- which are powered by numberFire -- as the guiding light for finding value, here are some MLB home run props bets that look appealing via the MLB odds at FanDuel Sportsbook.

Best Home Run Props

Brandon Lowe to Hit a Home Run (+400)

Brandon Lowe squares up with righty Chris Bassitt, the owner of a 38.0% hard-hit rate, right around the league-average.

This one is more about Lowe in a platoon split. Lowe owns a 15.6% barrel rate across 128 batted balls -- a top-40 number in the league.

He's also in a fine park for dingers for lefties.

Jordan Westburg to Hit a Home Run (+750)

numberFire's model is big on the Baltimore Orioles today in a matchup against Roddery Munoz and his 12.6% barrel rate allowed. Munoz also is letting up a hard-hit rate of 41.9% and a fly-ball rate of 49.1% -- both above the league average by a good bit.

Westburg is top-55 in barrel rate (11.5%) and is the best combination of odds and probability, but a lot of the O's are in an interesting spot to go long.

Riley Greene to Hit a Home Run (+630)

Riley Greene heads to Progressive Field in Cleveland for a matchup against Gavin Williams.

Williams is letting up just a 6.8% barrel rate but a fly-ball rate near the league average (35.8% versus 37.8%) and a hard-hit rate well above the average (44.1% versus 38.8%.

Greene ranks 31st in barrel rate (13.0%), and his xSLG of .488 confirms his actual SLG of .490 is legitimate.
