Verdict

SEETHRU (1) is spotting race fitness to a lot of rivals here, but it looks a suitable kick-off for the gelding who was a narrow runner-up in a Sandown BM70 last prep. Trialling like he can run a race. THUNDER HAWK (4) has been in the market at her last couple of starts but hasn't made an impression. This is much easier, however, so an improved showing would not shock. YOU NEVER CAN TELL (6) was in contention on the corner and ran a better race last start to finish a close third over 7 ½f at Geelong. Might have to do some work from the gate, but good enough with the right run. BOW RIBBON (7) wasn't disgraced first-up then caught the eye late last time out when beaten less than 1.5 lengths at Seymour. Looks ready to peak.

Resuming after a break of four-and-a-half months. Finished off last preparation third of 13 at Geelong Bm62 December 12 over 1 ¹/16m, 1.2 len behind Blue Cowboy with 132lbs at $3. First up last campaign tenth of 12 at Cranbourne 0 - 64 June 22 over 6 ½f, 5.5 len behind Everain with 131lbs at $21. Ran some nice races in better company than this last start, so this looks a nice kick-off.
