THE KILL CLUB (13) deserved her 56 win at Ararat as a $3.20 favourite and then stepped up to a 70 at Warrnambool against her own sex and was beaten a whisker from the speed. Carries 4lbs more but is well-placed in a 62 and can bounce back. IMMORTAL STAR (5) is an improver in the premier stable. Will be better for two solid outings at the provincials and is still well shy of her best. The gate is awkward, but with average luck she can make the finish. MY ANGEL SHELL (4) resumes, and the speedy galloper has raced well in stronger than this. Has placed fresh and has jumped out well at Ararat. Has claims as well. POLISHED WOOD (11) recorded a game win at Ararat on debut, racing three-wide without cover throughout. He will run along from an inside barrier and fitter will give a sight.
