Verdict

This looks a set play from the Shane Jackson yard with recent stable addition FOUJITA SAN (6). He's been good in two runs back, albeit having every hope last time at Caulfield when well backed and beaten a neck. He can strip fitter third up, gets in well with Bates on from a nice draw and suspect he'll peak for this with the local Warrnambool Cup also on the cards. ALDER (5) also presents third up having found the line well behind a very progressive horse in Zakouma last start at Flemington. He does draw wide but will be rattling home. POST IMPRESSIONIST (1) resumes. He hasn't won in a long time but has been contesting Group staying races and is well up to this if wound up. MONBAHER (2) resumes. He didn't fire in two runs last campaign but is a Listed winner and could surprise. UNSEEN RULER (9) is going well and should be very fit.

A race in which horses are entered for a certain price, or claiming tag, which is also their sales price. An owner can claim any horse entered for the tag before the race begins, and owns them as soon as the gates open.
