Verdict

UNRIDDLE (18) filled another quinella placing when 1.5 lengths adrift over 5 ½f at Pakenham. Was beaten 1L at Ballarat prior, and this looks a touch easier. Will position forward from a handy barrier and deserves another chance. PULL MY FINGER (5) was plainer at Bendigo but impressed at Pakenham prior, beaten a half-length. Had it tough in that, and the in-form Neindorf replaces the apprentice. Will hit the line hard. SPIRIT OF GAIA (14) didn't have the best of it at Pakenham but had just missed the three prior, including in town. She's a chance with average luck in running. BACK UP BARBIE (7) resumes and showed enough at Stony Creek on debut to seriously consider. Raced new and didn't have the best of luck. Will be naturally improved, and she was placed in a recent Pakenham jump-out. TAMATOA (6) debuts and has looked good at the jump-outs. Draws inside, and a bold run is likely.
