EARLY WARNING (3) returned from an eight-week let-up with a respectable fifth over 1m at Stawell last start. Yet to miss the frame in three runs here on his home track and has placed at all four tries over today's trip. Back in grade and finds the ideal race to break a long win drought. SO ENCHANTING (8) hasn't been in her comfort zone since the maiden win at Swan Hill three back. Finds a more suitable assignment today so a return to form looks likely. PRO AUSSIE (5) is a consistent gelding, in the money at all three runs this prep. Will enjoy the step up in trip with the in-form Will Gordon to steer. IMMINENT STORM (4) was strong through the line at the end of a mile at Stawell last time so this longer trip looks ideal.

Main Track Only

A horse entered for main track only (MTO) is one hoping the weather forecast or track conditions will move the race off the turf course and onto the main track. They are scratched the morning of the race if the conditions stay dry.

Minus Pool

A pari-mutuel pool – typically a show pool - where one horse is so heavily bet that after deductions there is not enough money left to cover the prescribed minimum on each bet.

Blinkers
