Verdict

COULD BE KATY (8) has been competitive of late and kept the ball rolling last time when 7 metres from the winner in fifth over 1 ³/16m at Addington. Interesting to see what unfolds from this wide draw, but she is overdue to break through. FRANCO NEWARK (3) is a three-year-old gelding from the Steven Mcrae yard on debut. No excuses from this advantageous draw. Was not far away in a recent trial. Capable of taking this out, especially if there is any money for him. CRUNCHY GRANOLA (9) is a three-year-old gelding from the J C Hay stable on debut. The driver has some work to do from this wide starting position, but his trial form says that he is ready to rumble. BETTER MAN (1) will be rock-hard fit after three runs back from a spell, the latest effort a close up second at Addington a week-and-a-half ago. From the ace gate, he can go one better here.
