2. No Gameplay by Minors
You must be 18 years of age or older (21 years of age or older in Massachusetts, Iowa, Arizona & Louisiana, 19 years of age or older in Alabama) to deposit money or enter a contest on FanDuel. Visit our Terms for more information.
3. No Gameplay by DFS Employees
Employees of FanDuel and any other DFS website are restricted from playing on FanDuel. Visit our Terms for more information.
4. Contest Lock Times
Contests lock when the first game starts for that slate. That means no more entries and no more lineup changes. Visit our Rules to learn more.
5. Tax Obligations for Winners.
Each year all users who have won $600 or more during the previous year must provide additional information to assist us in complying with tax regulations and preparing forms, including 1099-MISC reporting forms. Visit our Terms for more information.
6. Account Management, Security and Protection
FanDuel is committed to protecting the security of your personal information. We use a variety of security technologies and procedures to help protect your personal information from unauthorized access, use, or disclosure.
We have also implemented a number of security procedures, structures and safeguards to protect our own network, including, but not limited to, encryption, firewalls, and third-party audits. FanDuel's security team also monitors and regularly reviews our system's infrastructure, to detect possible weakness and updates practices, procedures and technologies pending new developments.
In addition to our efforts, we strongly encourage you to use best practices to prevent unauthorized access to your account. Here are some steps you can take to protect your password:
- Never share your password with anyone.
- Use a combination of letters, numbers & symbols (_@#$%^&+=,.!).
- Avoid obvious names, common words and birthdays.
- Longer passwords are stronger (up to 24 total characters).
- Try a mnemonic device for something only you’ll remember.
- Update your password on a regular basis, and make it unique from other sites.
Take these additional steps to protect your account:
- When accessing Fanduel from a device you don't own, make sure you sign out.
- Be wary of phishing scams. Fanduel will never ask for your password.
- Avoid bad links and questionable websites. To check where a link is taking you before you click it, rest your mouse cursor on the link and examine the URL.
- Avoid downloading files from unknown sources.

8. Parental Controls

9. Player Account Funds
Player funds are held in a separate, segregated bank account by a subsidiary of FanDuel. These funds belong to you, subject to review for identity and eligibility verification, evidence of fraud, or prohibited conduct. Visit our Terms for more information.
10. Multi-Accounting
You may establish, maintain, use and control only one account on FanDuel and each account on FanDuel may only be owned, maintained, used and controlled by one individual. Visit our Terms for more information.
11. Permanently Closing Your FanDuel Account
You can, at any time, request to have your FanDuel account permanently closed. Visit our Terms for more information.
12. Responsible Play
We offer proactive tools and other resources to help manage your play, including those which allow you to set limits on deposits and contest entry.

13. Scripts and Automated Tools
Use of third-party or unauthorized scripts is prohibited on FanDuel. If FanDuel makes a contest entry, edit or similar gameplay feature available to players on the platform, it will be accessible to all users prior to game entry. Visit our Terms for more information.
14. Maximum Entries
Contests may have limits on the maximum number of entries that a single user may submit. These limits may vary, and they will be specified in the description of each contest. Please visit our Rules for more specific information.
15. Experienced Player Badges
FanDuel identifies those players with certain levels of experience and/or expertise with an "experienced" or "highly-experienced" player badge. Visit our Rules to learn more.
16. Low Entry Fee Restrictions
We restrict experienced players (badge holders only) that have met certain thresholds of skill or profit from entering public contests with entry fees ranging from $0.01 - $2.99. These restrictions apply to those users that are experienced players and meet the following criteria:
- You have played more than $1 million in lifetime entry fees; or
- You have profits of more than $50k.
We will update the list of restricted users every Tuesday morning after Monday night’s contests settle, and the restrictions will go into effect that same Tuesday night. At that time, your status may change if your settled contests enable you to meet the above criteria. Any entries made in $0.01-$2.99 contests prior to Tuesday night will remain unaffected, but users will be restricted from making such entries going forward.
