Yankees Reveal Date and Start Time for Aaron Judge Press Conference
Updated:
It may have taken slightly longer than New York Yankees fans were hoping, but reigning AL MVP Aaron Judge returned to the team on a massive 9-year, $360 million deal. News of the deal broke earlier this month, but the transaction became official on Tuesday.
Next up is the "re" introductory press conference. The Yankees announced the start time and date of Judge's presser.
According to team insider Bryan Hoch, Judge and the franchise will hold a press conference at 10 a.m. ET on Wednesday, Dec. 21. While Judge's signing is the best thing Brian Cashman and his front office have done in a few years, it's far from the only reason to be excited about tomorrow's event.
There's heavy expectation amongst the Yankees fanbase that the team will use this press conference to announce him as the next team captain. Derek Jeter was the last Yankees captain, arguably one of the most prestigious honors in sports.
That's mere speculation, but ask any Yankee fan you know. Tomorrow should be the day.
