The 2023 French Open tennis tournament starts this Sunday, May 28, and the 128-player field on both the men's and women's sides is finally set. Defending champion Iga Swiatek comes into this year's tournament as the favorite to win it all again.

Defending champion Swiatek (-135), unsurprisingly, comes in as the odds-on favorite to win this year's tournament at Roland Garros. Aryna Sabalaenka and Elena Rybakina, who are tied for the second-best odds, aren't partickuarly close eother, both all the way back at +700.

2023 Women's French Open Format

The French Open for both men and women begins with 132 players in a traditional single-elimination bracket format. In each round, that number is cut in half until a champion is crowned. Matches are played on clay courts, something the French Open is famous for. All women's matches are in the traditional three-set format. the top 32 players are assigned seeds.
