VIDEO: Joe Burrow Makes Perfect Outfit Choice for Arrival at Superdome
Updated:
Joe Burrow is set to play in Caesars Superdome for the first time as a NFL quarterback when the Cincinnati Bengals battle the New Orleans Saints in Week 6. However, it's a stadium that already holds a special place in his heart from college and he made a perfect outfit choice on Sunday to show that.
Cincinnati Bengals Week 6
Burrow got off the team bus donning a throwback Ja'Marr Chase LSU jersey. The second-year wide receiver notably shined in the 2019 College Football National Championship game, which was played at the Superdome. Burrow linked with Chase 9 times for a whopping 221 yards and 2 touchdowns.
It's a welcomed change from the typical dazzling suits Burrow can be seen wearing on any given game day. The outfit served as the icing on the cake after the Cincinnati QB raved about returning to New Orleans all week long. He hopes that Sunday's final score will be another good memory for him.
It's safe to say that National Championship victory is a big reason why Burrow was drafted No. 1 overall in 2020 and why Chase was drafted No. 5 overall in 2021. The LSU products showcased their ability to show up on the biggest stage and those skills almost led to a Super Bowl title last season.
The Bengals are starting to heat up after a slow start to the season. Burrow has thrown for 779 yards, 6 touchdowns and 1 interception over the last three games. Meanwhile, Chase has been his top target during that span. The 22-year-old has logged 160 yards and 1 touchdown on 17 receptions.
Cincinnati is slated as a 3-point road favorite over New Orleans, according to FanDuel Sportsbook.
