MLB fans are probably most familiar with Nippon Professional Baseball (NPB), Japan's premier baseball league, because of the star players it has produced, most recently Shohei Ohtani of the Los Angeles Angels.
There is, however, another reason to be paying close attention to NPB – these wonderfully over-the-top strikeout calls from one of the league's umpires.
We first came across this umpire a few years back, when he displayed his signature fist bump motion to ring up a strikeout victim of none other than Ohtani himself.
Now, he's back and better than ever. Notice the full extension on the fist pump, not to mention its perfect synchronization with the jubilant pitcher on the mound.
We are currently looking for the name of this mystery man, but when he is tracked down, perhaps, the MLB should acquire his services at any cost.
