VIDEO: Alvin Kamara Unveils Insane Offseason Workouts
Updated:
It's typical for NFL athletes to spend a ton of time in the gym during the offseason in order to stay in shape for the upcoming season. New Orleans Saints running back Alvin Kamara is taking things to a whole other level, though. A recent video surfaced of his insane workouts with Athletix rehab.

Kamara can bee seen going through a number of exercises that seem to focus on balance, agility and quickness. Of course, those are three of the most important skills for a running back to possess. Kamara makes his living off his ability to change direction on a dime and juke opposing defenders.
Whether it was lunging on half yoga balls or box jumping off of one leg, Kamara proved that he is staying prepared for anything. The 26-year-old has his attention set toward bigger goals after making the Pro Bowl in each of his first five NFL seasons and being named to the All-Pro second team in 2020.
Kamara rushed for 898 yards and 4 touchdowns on 240 carries last season, while also adding on 47 receptions for 439 yards and 5 touchdowns (13 games). It was a step down from his usual dominance and that can likely be attributed to the knee sprain he suffered midway through the year.
Having Kamara back at full health and in good shape should do wonders for new head coach Dennis Allen on offense. It may not be enough considering oddsmakers give the Saints +500 odds to win the AFC South division and +4400 odds to win Super Bowl 57, according to FanDuel Sportsbook.
