Week 12 of the 2022 NCAA college football season includes a major matchup in the Pac-12 title chase between the No. 10 Utah Utes and No. 12 Oregon Ducks. Both teams have identical 8-2 records, including 6-1 in conference play.
Oregon lost to Washington at home last week, 37-34, as a double-digit favorite, but the Ducks can still get into the Pac-12 championship game with a win over Utah and a rivalry win next week at Oregon State. The Utes have won four straight -- including a huge victory over Pac-12 leader USC -- and will control their destiny to the Pac-12 championship game with another win here.

Utah vs Oregon Prediction & Pick
That was an emotional loss by Oregon last week, and now Ducks QB Bo Nix is less than 100% after suffering a knee injury late against Washington. If he's unable to suit up, backup quarterbacks Ty Thomspon and Jay Butterfield are preparing to play.
Oregon had their 23-game home winning streak snapped last week by Washington, but this is a huge test against a stronger Utah team under 18th-year Utes coach Kyle Whittingham. Utah is pushing for another Pac-12 title while first-year Oregon coach Dan Lanning has to get his team off the mat following a disappointing loss.
The offensive profiles favor Oregon, who average 42 points per game (PPG) and 519 yards per game (YPG) against FBS foes compared to Utah's 39 PPG and 447 YPG. The Ducks have a slight edge in yards per play thanks to their offense, but the Utes' defense is No. 1 in the Pac-12 overall, allowing 328 YPG at 5.7 YPP to Oregon's 398 YPG and 6.0 YPP. But Utah did allow more than 500 yards and 42 points to both USC at home and UCLA on the road, and Oregon's offense is just as explosive with Nix under center.
That said, Utah QB Cameron Rising also leads a solid, balanced offense that is efficient and more physical. Plus, Oregon just allowed Washington to win with more than 500 yards of offense and an explosive pass attack, making this a good matchup for the Utes against a reeling Ducks defense.
Final Score Prediction: Utah: 34 | Oregon: 30

Utah overwhelmed Oregon in two wins last season by a combined score of 76-17 while beating the Ducks in the Pac-12 championship game. Clearly the status of Nix is key, as he's passed for 24 TDs and rushed for 14. Even if he plays, though, we're still leaning toward the Utes.
Bet: Utah -1.5 (-115)
