Bowl season is underway after an exciting 2022 college football campaign. One successful program taking part in the postseason once again is the Utah Utes, who will face Penn State at the Rose Bowl on Monday, Jan. 2.

Utah Bowl Game History

Utah has frequented the college football postseason throughout its history. The Utes have played in 24 bowls prior to facing Penn State.

The Utes made their first bowl appearance in 1939 when they defeated New Mexico 26-0 in the Sun Bowl.

Utah is just 1-3 in their last four bowl appearances. Their most recent win came during the Heart of Dallas Bowl, a 30-14 win over West Virginia in 2017.
