One team that's no stranger to playing in bowl games is the Tulane Green Wave. Here's everything you need to know about Tulane's bowl history before making its next appearance.

Tulane Bowl Game History

Tulane's had an active presence in the college football bowl season, especially after the turn of the millennium. The Green Wave have appeared in 14 bowls all-time prior to Monday's Cotton Bowl.

Tulane played it first-ever bowl game following the 1931 season. The school made an appearance in the Rose Bowl and faced USC in that contest. The Trojans got the best of the Green Wave unfortunately, defeating Tulane 21-12.

The Green Wave's most recent bowl appearance was in the 2020 Famous Idaho Potato Bowl. Tulane fell 38-27 to Nevada in that one. Prior to that, the school had won two straight postseason games.
