Top Fantasy Football Streaming Kickers for Week 6

Three kickers have 50-plus fantasy points through the first five weeks of the season. Only one of them (Tyler Bass) had an average draft position (ADP) higher than 20th at the position in the offseason.

Kicker is one of the most high-variance positions in fantasy football, and their production tends to be more about the offense they're tied to and their weekly matchup than any sort of individual skill. That makes it the perfect position to stream in fantasy football.

With that in mind, here are our top fantasy football streaming kickers for Week 6.

3. Evan McPherson, Cincinnati Bengals (at DET)

Evan McPherson's production fell off in Week 5, but the Cincinnati Bengals' offense is clearly more than capable of racking up big points in the right matchup. The Detroit Lions are very much "the right matchup." Kickers against Detroit have scored 13-plus fantasy points three times in five games, averaging 11.6 per. No kicker in the NFL is averaging that many. Rostering "the kicker against Detroit" would be a no-brainer if you could, and this week you can.

2. Rodrigo Blankenship, Indianapolis Colts (vs HOU)

It's not quite No. 1 kicker production, but the Houston Texans have also allowed 9.8 fantasy points per game to the position. That's not much of a surprise considering Pro Football Focus grades them out as the eighth-worst defense in the NFL, and they've allowed the sixth-most points and seventh-most yards in the league. Rodrigo Blankenship has been highly consistent, finishing between 7 and 10 fantasy points in each of his last four games, and he should keep rolling here.

1. Chase McLaughlin, Cleveland Browns (vs ARI)

We've featured Chase McLaughlin as a top-three streaming kicker three times in the last four weeks. Twice (now three times) he's been our No. 1 pick. That's what happens when the kicker tied for No. 7 in the NFL in fantasy points is still rostered in under 20% of leagues. His success is no fluke, either, as he's attached to a Cleveland Browns offense that ranks top-six in the NFL in both yardage and scoring. There's no reason for McLaughlin to not be among the most rostered kickers.
