Top 12 Fantasy Football Defense Rankings for Week 14
Updated:
Coming off a dominant 20-point fantasy performance in Week 13, the Los Angeles Chargers look poised to dominate again this weekend. Facing the injury-riddled New York Giants, LA looks like a surefire top-five play again this week.
If you need help breaking down the rest of the week's matchups, here are our top-12 fantasy football defense rankings for Week 14.
Fantasy Football Defense Rankings Week 14
12. Buffalo Bills (at TB)
11. Los Angeles Rams (at ARI)
10. Arizona Cardinals (vs LAR)
9. Tampa Bay Buccaneers (vs BUF)
8. Carolina Panthers (vs ATL)
7. Dallas Cowboys (at WAS)
6. Seattle Seahawks (at HOU)
5. Tennessee Titans (vs JAX)
4. Los Angeles Chargers (vs NYG)
The Los Angeles Chargers were the highest scoring fantasy defense of Week 13. That came against a rock-solid Cincinnati Bengals' offense. Now they'll get to face a New York Giants attack that will likely be helmed by second-year QB Jake Fromm. Fromm, who has yet to attempt a single NFL pass, should be under fire early and often. LA owns a top-12 pressure rate and should have little trouble getting home against a Giants' OL that ranks dead last in ProFootballFocus' pass-blocking grades. LA has the potential to finish as the league's highest-scoring defense in back-to-back weeks.
3. Green Bay Packers (vs CHI)
The Green Bay Packers' defense has been tremendous this season, surrendering 20.2 PPG – good for the fifth-best mark in the NFL. Expect Green Bay to keep that going this week, as the Pack faces off with the Chicago Bears. Chicago averages the third-fewest PPG in the league (16.8) and turns the ball over at the fifth-highest rate in football. With Andy Dalton coming off a 4-INT performance, and Justin Fields sporting the league's second-highest INT rate (4.0%) the Packers should feast regardless of who is under center for Chicago.
2. New Orleans Saints (at NYJ)
1. Denver Broncos (vs DET)
The Denver Broncos held up really well against Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs on Sunday night. They'll get one of the biggest drop-offs imaginable in Week 14 as they take on the Jared Goff-led Detroit Lions. Denver has held its opponents under 23 points in five of its last six outings, surrendering 18.0 PPG during that span. Don't expect that to stop against the NFL's fourth-worst scoring offense.
