Moises vs Costa Prediction
In a battle between two Brazilians, Thiago Moises hopes to spoil Melquizael Costa's UFC debut. After back-to-back losses to Islam Makhachev and Joel Álvarez, Moises returned to the winner's circle with a submission victory over Christos Giagos at UFC Vegas 57. Only time will tell if the 27-year-old can win consecutive fights for the first time in nearly two years.
Meanwhile, Costa enters this fight fresh off a third-round TKO win against Jose Cleiton de Melo Jr. The 26-year-old has now won seven of his last eight fights, but this is clearly one of his bigger challenges to date.
At the end of the day, I need to see more from Costa against tougher competition before he can be trusted from a betting perspective. Moises has faced stronger opponents and has the wins to prove it, leading to my siding with him to pick up the victory.
Moises vs Costa Best Bet
When it comes to the best bet, I'm going with Moises winning on Saturday by decision. After all, there's a decent chance that this fight goes the distance. Ten of Moises' 22 career fights (45.5%) have gone the distance while three of Costa's last seven (42.8%) have also ended in some form of decision
With both fighters wanting to put on a show for their Brazilian fans, look for the matchup to go the distance with Moises emerging as the victor.
Bet: Moises by Points (+180)
