Texans Get Terrible Nico Collins Injury Update Prior to Week 16

Updated:

The Houston Texans aren't playing for anything more than a draft pick at this point. And by playing, I mean hoping they don't screw it up and accidentally win a couple of games, which would cost them the No. 1 pick in the 2023 NFL Draft.

Nico Collins Injury Update

That said, getting your young guys some extra reps is always useful. Wideout Nico Collins has been dealing with a foot injury he sustained during the team's Week 13 game against the Cleveland Browns.

Collins has been out ever since and is now done for the season, as the Texans announced on Friday that he'll be placed on the IR.

Collins was in the midst of a promising second season for Houston, surpassing his rookie totals in catches, yards and touchdowns in four fewer games.

Now another member of the Texans can focus solely on looking forward to next season. Houston hopes he can be a talented receiver for years to come, so the team is wise to prioritize his health and avoid further injury in a lost season.
