Taysom Hill Fantasy Value Skyrockets After Being Name Saints Starter Over Jameis Winston
Updated:
Taysom Hill has been the ultimate gadget player for the New Orleans Saints. He has made tackles on kickoffs, caught passes for touchdowns and trucked defenders on designed runs. In Week 11 against the Atlanta Falcons, the Saints have announced that Hill will be the starting quarterback, while Jameis Winston will continue to be the backup.
Taysom Hill Fantasy Outlook
With Hill's contract spiking in money owed next season, it appears the Saints want to truly see what they have in the versatile player. With a matchup against the Falcons, who surrender the most fantasy points to quarterbacks in the league (26.0), Hill becomes an interesting start in fantasy this week.
Hill has attempted just 18 passes in his career, completing 10 of them for 205 yards. While he has thrown one interception, he has yet to throw a touchdown pass. With the Falcons allowing a league-high 22 touchdowns through the air this season, he has a good chance to check off that box this week.
There are some fantasy leagues where Hill is also eligible to be played at the tight end position. This is where you can get a bit creative. A starting quarterback that is facing the worst defense to the position will likely put up solid numbers. Compared to other tight ends, Hill appears to be a clear top five option.
