Suns vs. Nets Game Info
- Date: Thursday, January 19, 2023
- Time: 10:00 PM ET
- Venue: Footprint Center -- Phoenix, Arizona
- Coverage: TNT and BSAZ
The Brooklyn Nets (27-16) will travel to Footprint Center to face the Phoenix Suns (21-24) in one of five NBA matchups slated for Thursday, Jan. 19.
The Nets enter tonight's contest riding a three-game losing streak, most recently falling 106-98 to the lowly San Antonio Spurs on Tuesday. Injuries have cause the Suns to struggle as well lately, dropping to 1-9 in their last 10 games with Monday's 136-106 blowout loss to the Memphis Grizzlies.
Can the Nets pick up their first victory in the second outing on a five-game road trip? Or will the Suns finally put their losing ways to rest tonight?

Suns vs. Nets Betting Trends
- The Nets went 32-46-4 ATS last season.
- The Suns' ATS record as underdogs of 0.5 points or more was 6-4 last year.
- The Nets and their opponents combined to hit the over 41 out of 82 times last season.
- Last season, 41 of the Suns' 82 games went over the point total.
Suns vs. Nets Prediction & Pick
The Nets get a boost tonight as Kyrie Irving is probable to return to the lineup following a brief absence. The seven-time All-Star is averaging 25.2 points on .470/.391/.826 shooting splits over his last nine games and has scored at least 26 points in six of his last eight games against the Suns.
There isn't much to like about the Suns as long as both Devin Booker (groin) and Chris Paul (hip) are out of the lineup. Phoenix has averaged just 101.5 points in its last 10 games, being held to double-digit totals in five of those outings. This just isn't a team that's shown much competitiveness lately.
Even without Kevin Durant, the Nets are still talented enough to defeat the reeling Suns on the road.
Final Score Prediction: Nets: 110 | Suns: 98
Suns vs. Nets Best Bet
The Nets shouldn't have any issues covering the spread tonight. They might be 1-5 ATS in their last six games, but the Nets have also covered the spread in six of their last eight games against Western Conference opponents.
Meanwhile, the Suns are 3-7 ATS in their last 10 games, as well as 1-4 ATS in their last five at Footprint Center. Furthermore, Phoenix has a minus-12.9 scoring margin in its last 10 outings.
With the Suns' offense being a disaster lately, I'm even more confident that the Nets can cover as -1.5 favorites.
Bet: Nets -1.5 (-110)
