Padres vs Dodgers Prediction & Pick
These two teams are obviously not strangers to one another. Playing in the same division has caused the Dodgers and Padres to meet up 51 times over the last three seasons. Los Angeles owns a 35-16 record in those head-to-head meetings, making it hard to go against the NL's best team in this series.
Clayton Kershaw has posted a 1-0 record and a 0.75 ERA against the Padres this season, while Julio Urias has logged a 3-0 record with a 1.50 ERA in the rivalry this year. Their dominance will give the Dodgers a huge advantage in the first two games and an opportunity to grab a commanding lead right away.
It's also going to be hard for San Diego's lineup to keep up with a team that averaged a league-best 5.23 runs per game in 2022.
Final Series Prediction: Dodgers Win 3-1
